Our countryside hotel is located in a nature reserve, between Annaberg-Buchholz and Geyer. For nature lovers and hikers, it´s a truly beautiful area. Botanical treasures, such as the wild orchid “Mann’s orchid” or the pink-blooming “French Meadow rue” – are only selected examples of a many-sided flora and fauna.

Our Waldgasthof & Hotel “Am Sauwald” in Tannenberg, owes its name to the forest surrounding the house. The name Sauwald dates back to the 18th century, when large hunts took place here. Witnesses, such as the so-called Saufang, can still be found near the village of Dörfel.

You are welcome to use the rooms from 14:00 on the day of arrival.
Breakfast hours:
Monday through Friday we welcome you for breakfast from 7:00 am to 10:00 am.
On weekends and holidays from 8:00 am to 10:00 am.
Restaurant:
Our restaurant is open daily from 11:00 am to 10:00 pm (kitchen closing time: 9:00 pm) continuously.
Departure:
Please vacate your rooms by 11:00 am on the day of departure. A late departure until 14:00 is only possible subject to availability.
Parking:
A free parking lot is located directly at the house.
Dog / pet regulations:
